Unification of Treatments and Interventions for Tinnitus Patients - UNITI
Aim: Tinnitus is a disease that affects more than 10% of the general population, generating significant socioeconomic costs. The complex nature of the disease and the heterogeneity of its characteristics constitute both a scientific and a clinical challenge. The aim of UNITI research project is the creation of a computational predictive model based on existing data that will be capable to predict the best therapeutic approach for every patient based on his individual characteristics. Furthermore, in a randomized multicentered clinical study, 500 patients will be randomized in 2 groups in 5 clinical centers in Greece, Germany, Belgium and Spain. The study will compare the efficacy and efficiency of a treatment with the combination of 2 treatments.
